Two separate news reports from mid-August 2026 give a sense of where things stand, but they don't fully agree - which is itself the clearest sign nothing is locked in yet:

13 August 2026 (Dhaka Tribune Bangla): The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee proposed online applications opening 15 September 2026, the admission process wrapping up by 10 November 2026, and classes starting 12 November 2026 - but the article is explicit that "the final schedule will be announced only after the Ministry of Education's approval."
12 August 2026 (Ittefaq): Dhaka Board's secretary said the entire admission process is expected to conclude by mid-September 2026, while the actual application start date was still undetermined and expected to be fixed "within the following week."

Both of these are proposals and statements from officials, not a published circular. Do not plan around either date set as final. Once the Ministry approves a schedule, boards publish an official circular on xiclassadmission.gov.bd - that circular is the only source to treat as confirmed.

Visit xiclassadmission.gov.bd once the application window opens (per the official circular).
Log in with your SSC roll number, registration number, passing year, and board.
Select your preferences - rank the colleges, groups (Science / Business Studies / Humanities), and shifts you want, in order of priority.
Pay the application fee through the portal's supported mobile financial service or bank option.
Submit and wait for the merit result. If placed, you confirm your seat within the portal by the deadline; if not placed in your top choices, you may be eligible for a later migration/release phase.
